Canada is proposing some major improvements to the Nutrition Facts Table and List of Ingredients on Food Labels. Change is good and what’s even better is that those in charge want to hear your opinions on their proposals and are inviting you to easily do so.
Canada outlined a schedule in which consumers, parents, etc. would be able to share their ideas on how to improve the nutrition facts table and list of ingredients. This process began back in October 2013 and it’s now finally time for the Canada Gazette Part 1, in which the publication and consultation process begins. But what is that process exactly? Well, Canadians and stakeholders are invited to submit comments and feedback to Health Canada by August 27, 2015. But how can you comment if you don’t yet know their proposals? Read on to find out exactly what the proposals entail.
